SUMMER CROSS-TRAINING IN THE SUN!
Learn or Improve Your Surfing and Skating This Summer!
This summer we will be taking several trips to the coast to surf and skate by Depot Bay/Lincoln City. If you have never surfed/skated before or are already shredding our coaches will be able to help you improve and keep those muscles firing for next winter!
Our first camp with be held June 16-19th. This will be a 4 day, 3 night stay. We will leave Monday morning and return Thursday evening. We will be staying at The Inn at Otter Crest by Depot Bay right on the beach. Condo amenities include a pool, hot tub and sauna. Transportation, lodging food, supervision, coaching and good vibes are all included. We will also have additional activities including boogie boards, skim boards, spike ball, beach soccer, etc.
Surfboard, wetsuit, booties, and glove rentals are not included in the price of this program. We did not include this as some people may have their own gear, may have gear to borrow, etc. We will be working with a local surf shop (in Depot Bay) for discounted rentals on gear.
Additional Camp Dates:
To Be Determined
Additional dates will be added based upon student response.
We hope to do 3 or 4 trips this summer if the interest is there.
One of the ideas behind the summer camp is introducing our kids to a new activity that has transferrable skills. We are also hoping being that maybe after the first trip some kids start collecting their own gear, maybe starting with a wetsuit or their own booties or gloves. There are many used options out for wetsuits, etc. including Next Adventure Paddle Sports, Foster Outdoor, Gorge Performance, Facebook Marketplace to name a few.
We want our kids to be stewards of the outdoors, in all seasons, in all aspects of mother nature.
