Wednesday Recreational Ski & Snowboard Club
Enjoy the Mountain Your Way

No Pressure, Just Enjoyment
WEDNESDAY RECREATIONAL SKI AND SNOWBOARD CLUB
The recreational club was created as an avenue for non-competitive skiers and snowboarders to come to the mountain with the team and enjoy the winter wonderland that is Mount Hood. There is no obligation to compete, to ride with a coach, or to ride with only people on the same gear as you. Skiers and snowboarders can ride together. While we hope that as your skills progress you join one of the competition teams and benefit from more hands on coaching, there is no pressure or expectations. Aside from having fun and representing your school in the best way possible on the mountain!
A Typical Wednesday on the Slopes
Fun, Flexibility, and School Spirit
Here's what you can expect as a member of the Wednesday Recreational Club:
-
Flexible Riding: Choose your pace and explore the mountain in your own style. Whether you prefer smooth runs or carving up the powder, there’s a place for you.
-
Inclusive Environment: Skiers and snowboarders ride together, creating a diverse and friendly community. Share your love for winter sports with peers from different skill levels and backgrounds.
-
Progress at Your Own Pace: As your skills improve, you might be interested in joining one of our competition teams, but there's absolutely no pressure. Our main goal is for you to have fun, make friends, and represent Ida B. Wells High School with pride.
